***Using Twitter to find collabs***

I have found that Twitter is great for connecting with other creators who you want to collab with. In my opinion, it’s the adult entertainment industries version of LinkedIn.

Before you start reaching out you should make sure your page looks good. Your Twitter page should have a completed profile (pic, banner, about me) and have content posted that gives a good idea of your style and personality. If another creator looks at your page they should walk away thinking “they look fun to work with”.

Once your Twitter page is up and running, start to follow other creators who you would like to work with. Engage with their posts in an authentic way (no spam). Get on their radar as a real person. Send them a message letting them know you like their content and you are curious to know if they collab.

This part can take time. I have spent months talking to someone before actually collabing with them. I’ve also had plenty of people never respond back. You have to have patience. There are real people on the other end of the DM and we all have our own hectic lives.

If you are having a hard time finding local creators then open yourself up to travel. Treat this as a business expense. Plan to pay for your own travel and split a rental for shooting.

Once you connect with someone who wants to collab it’s helpful to hop on a FaceTime to say hi and talk a little about what you both want to collab on (the more credible a creator is the less I hop on a FaceTime). The goal is to make sure the person seems professional and dependable, as well as make sure you vibe together.

If there is going to be any fluid swapping, make sure to get a full panel STI test. There are plenty of places to use, I suggest a company called Clear. Their website is www.getclrd.com

Collabing is something that is definitely a lot harder at first but once you get some momentum, it gets a lot easier. Just make sure to have a Twitter profile that you are proud of and are actively engaging with other creators on the platform.

Hope that helps ✌️
