Puppy update: say hello to spaghetti
This is not a sexy post at all and I’ll do one of those tonight but I’ve had a ton of people asking for updates on the puppy situation

If you didn’t see my post yesterday, I am taking care of a hurt puppy. Last night while I was eating…you guessed it...Spaghetti.. I looked out my window and I saw a puppy with a leash trailing behind it. By the time I opened the door she was literally on my welcome mat. She was wagging her tail and giving me kisses which was surprising because she’s in very bad shape. She was covered head to toe in bloody open sores and very very emaciated so I took her to an emergency vet clinic. 

she has severe demodectic mange covering her body, hookworms, and infections from her open sores. Thankfully she does not have heart worms. The emergency vet put her on an antibiotic for the infections and a medication for the worms. Tomorrow when non-emergency vet clinics open I’m going to take her so she can get oral and topical medication for the mange and get her shots.

she is the sweetest puppy I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how old she is and her being so starved makes it harder to tell but if I had to guess I would say she’s about five or six months and I think she’s a black lab/great Dane mix. I am head over heels in love with her.  I will have more information about her after she sees the non emergency vet and I’ll keep you updated. All of this is happening really quickly so I’m trying to play things by ear right now. I feel very thankful that you guys have helped me have the income to be able to afford things like surprise emergency vet bills because she is worth every penny.
