Got a new lens for my camera and I've been trying to get used to it. It's no longer variable zoom, so I'm having to run back and forth to my tripod even more to make adjustments >.<
...BUT the quality will be soo much better after some practice :) It's a solid piece of glass 👍

However, I'm probably only going to use this lens for special occasions or when I'm feeling really artsy.
a.) it's hard to work with in small spaces since it's 50mm
b.) photos from this lens lack that *authentic* look. I feel like it's important to have a good mix of casual & professional looking content on my feed - not just professional.

If you look at page 3, you can kinda see what I mean - it LOOKS edited, but it's not! (aside from color grading the raw file)

♡ I'm really curious on what ya'll think. Do these photos look too polished or are they fine?

**for those who are interested:

I'm rockin' the Canon EOS R.
I got a 50mm prime lens @ f/1.4 - I really wanted f/1.2 but the difference in price from f/1.4 to f/1.2 is literally $900. That DIFFERENCE in price between the two lenses is almost the same price as my used camera o.o
